Lighting Control
Imagine pushing a button or calling from a phone to
change the lighting in and around your home. Whether a
small dinner party or a large corporate event, your lighting
system will be able to set the stage for exciting evenings.
Multi Media Solutions works with your from the beginning
to the end with the designing process to ensure all lighting and
fixtures are to your exact expectations. Lighting is
an important design aspect of home décor. Unfortunately, conventional control of multi-room lighting
required banks of unsightly dimmers and confusing switches. Now, modern integrated lighting systems offer complete
control of entire estates from simple, easy to use single
control keypads, available in a variety of designs and
colors to fit any décor. Scenes can be programmed and controlled by means of
automation, LCD touch screens, keypads, remote by phone,
even over the Internet.

Lighting solutions have been
available for many years and continue to improve and become
more popular among homeowners. Modern integrated
lighting systems allow users to set moods for specific
activities, incorporating may different appliances into the
scene. For example, the system can be configured to
dim the home theater when a movie is playing. Or by
pressing the 'Entertain' button, you can increase the outdoor
landscape lighting, illuminate all entrances and set all
indoor lighting to comfortable levels.
External lighting
can be coordinated with scenes, and by including
astronomical clocks, or photocells, certain areas (zones)
can be automatically controlled. Imagine the lights
along the walkways automatically increasing in intensity as
the sky slowly darkens. Or a long driveway of lights
turning on as you drive over a sensor beneath the beginning
of the driveway. Or how about turning on your dock
lights from your boat a half mile away. The
possibilities are limitless. If there's a way, Multi
Media Solutions can do it.
Security is another benefit of
an integrated lighting control system. A fire alarm
can illuminate all hallways, exits and the perimeter.
While a burglar alarm could turn on all lights in the house
the instant the intruder is detected. Lights can also
have panic buttons that will flash all exterior lights,
alerting neighbors to a problem.
Control options for
motorized window treatments can be incorporated into a
lighting control system. Utilizing the same keypads or displays, drapes, curtains and shades can be automated,
including awnings. There are sensors that measure the
amount of sunlight hitting a certain window and can
determine whether to open or close them. There are
even wind sensors available to retract the awnings if it
becomes dangerously windy. Timers can open and close
shades on a schedule also. Window control can be
integrated with an alarm panel to increase security.
For example, in the event of a break in, the system can open
all drapes, turn on all interior lights and flash all
exterior lights, to draw attention. |
